Glulam

Many of our heavy timber packages are comprised of Glulam, or glue-laminated timber pieces. Glulam pieces are large, structural members created by gluing together pieces of premium grade dimension lumber. This unique structural material can be formed into a variety of shapes, including curves, with size limited only by transportation restrictions. Glulam is generally used for columns and beams, and frequently for curved members loaded in combined bending and compression. Glulam’s strength and stability make it an excellent structural component, while its brilliant finish and natural beauty can add aesthetic value and character to your structure.
